Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how BuildifyandCo L.L.C-FZ ("Buildify", "we", "us"), Meydan Grandstand, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, processes personal data when you use the Buildify mobile application and related services. We are the controller of your personal data and process it in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, phone number, role, password (stored hashed), language.
- Profile and business data: trade licence files, portfolio, work directions, ratings and reviews.
- Orders and communications: order descriptions, photos and videos, addresses, responses, messages, complaints.
- Location: the precise location of a property or your current location, only when you choose to set it on the map for an order.
- Purchases: subscription and wallet transaction records, store transaction identifiers. We do not receive your card details — payments are processed by Apple or Google.
- AI design: room photos and preferences you upload for design generation.
- Device and technical data: push notification token, device identifier, app version, app usage data (analytics), crash and performance reports.
2. Purposes and legal bases
- To provide the marketplace: publishing orders and matching customers with executors and mediators — performance of our contract with you.
- To verify executors, process subscriptions and wallet top-ups, and run referral and partner programmes — performance of contract and legal obligations.
- To send service notifications, prevent fraud and handle complaints — our legitimate interest in operating a safe service.
- To diagnose errors and analyse usage in aggregate to improve the Service — our legitimate interest.
- Where consent is required (for example, location and notifications), we ask for it, and you can withdraw it at any time in your device settings.
3. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only as needed to operate the Service with:
- Apple and Google — in-app purchase processing and verification;
- Google Firebase — push notifications and usage analytics;
- OpenAI and Stability AI — processing photos and prompts for AI interior design;
- Sentry — crash and error reporting;
- other users, to the extent needed for a deal (e.g. profile and contact details shared between a customer and a chosen executor);
- authorities, where required by law.
Our servers are hosted in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai). Some of the service providers listed above may process data outside the UAE, including in the United States and the European Union; in that case we rely on the contractual data protection safeguards they provide.
4. Retention
- We keep account and profile data while your account is active.
- After account deletion, profile data is deleted or anonymised within 30 days.
- Financial transaction records are kept for 5 years as required by UAE accounting and legal rules.
- Crash reports are deleted automatically within 90 days.
5. Your rights and account deletion
You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to request data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email us at support@buildify.ae; we will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly in the app: Profile → Delete account. Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately in App Store or Google Play settings. You may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.
6. Children
The Service is not intended for persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy. We will announce material changes in the app or on this page.
